《著色精靈：七彩希望》即是先前介紹過的名為《De Blob》的塗鴉益智類型遊戲，《著色精靈：七彩希望》為日版（ブロブ カラフルなきぼう）的翻譯名，預計2008年11月13日發售，售價6,090日圓，而美版則是於9月22日提前發售，售價49.99美元。

《著色精靈：七彩希望》是一款卡通風格的益智休閒遊戲，玩家要控制主角 Blob 與將原本充滿聲音和顏色的都市「彩虹市」變成單調的黑白世界的大企業對抗，粉碎他們的野心，並且讓世界再次恢復往日的風采。遊戲一開始是完全無聲且黑白色調的世界，等玩家慢慢將街道填滿各種顏色之後，活潑動人的背景音樂也會跟著流露出來；相反的，如果過關不順利，顏色不夠豐富，配合的音樂就會是遲緩節奏，毫無生氣的音樂。
遊戲以過關方式進行，完成各關卡「Color Supporter」（「カラーサポーター）的託付事項或指令即可增加色彩能量，累積到一定能量以後就能開啟前往下一關的大門。另外背景音樂也會隨著遊戲進行的狀況而有各種不同的變化
